Growing stronger everyday...

Dylan is getting bigger everyday.  She is sitting up so well.  She had become less and less interested in rice cereal, so we took a break from it.  But as she's been showing more interest in our food, we decided to reintroduce it.  She's been eating pretty well the last couple of days.  Hopefully it will continue and we can start to introduce more solids.  We've really enjoyed the rain.  Dylan loves water, so we sat outside with her to watch the rain fall the other day, she loved it...and the cold gave us the opportunity to let her wear the hat I've been dying to put on her (a present from Jose and CeCe) seen in the first picture.  Also, she got her first highchair.  She looks adorable in it and it's great that we have something she can sit in up at the table with us.  It was super cheap and it has a little cushion in it to help keep her stable until she grows into it a little more.  Life with her everyday is quite an adventure!  Also, we found out that she is going to get to meet her second cousin Arabella in just 2 weeks!  Tad, Nichola and Bella are coming to California to visit us and we cannot wait!!

moving day...

We helped my brother and sister-in-law move last week.  It was the day that Dylan really made a major improvement in sitting up on her own.  Just a few pics from the day.

p.s. this is one of her poop faces  :)

nurturing nature...

We took Dylan on one of the trails at the El Dorado Park Nature Walk.  It was a beautiful day!  They have several trails and we plan on taking her on all of them.  This time we did one of the one-mile trails.

Ah the beauty of nature and power lines.

ketchup...

I know it's been a while so we have some catching up to do.  I'll start with this: I had mentioned before how we were working on sitting up, and she was doing ok.  She would use her hands to hold herself up, but fold in half pretty quickly or topple over to one side.  Then one day, things turned around so quickly and she is practically a pro now!  She holds herself up and then pushes her hands off the ground and straightens her back and can hold herself up there for a pretty good amount of time.  It's so crazy to watch your child go through transitions so quickly.  You are literally watching them grow right in front of your eyes.  It's amazing.  She is still teething pretty bad, well, some days are worse than others.  She woke up early this morning crying from the pain.  Poor thing.  I know it's only going to get worse too.  For now though, we will just continue freezing teethers and letting her bruise our knuckles to make it through!  I think she also likes to gum her tongue because she recently started to stick her tongue out and just hold it there.  It looks hilarious because she sticks it out so far and it's pointy (see picture below) haha!  I will update again later today when I get time with pictures from the nature walk we went on and from moving day with Uncle Josh and Auntie Lacey.  For now, enjoy these:
