Hope...

On November 4, 2007, Dylan went with me to cast my vote for the 44th President of the United States.  Yesterday we watched as the new president was sworn into office.  To now have an African American man as president means so many things for our world, but most importantly it gives hope to the children of our nation.  They now know that they can be, literally, anything they want to be...the sky is the limit!  It makes me happy to know that my daughter will never live in a world where her dreams and aspirations were limited.  As the parents of a young child, we pray constantly for the future of our world.  Our prayer is for Barack Obama and his family as they enter into the most difficult position any presidential family has had to face.  Although I am a supporter of Obama, I feel too many people put their hope just in him, but he is just a man.  We have chosen to put our hope and trust in God.  We are praying that our new president will lead us the way he has promised and that God will help him to lead our nation towards a more peaceful, stable, protected future, for the sake of our children.  YES, WE CAN!

experiencing (or should I say, sleeping through) history being made!
